is that only one time-effect per character at a time? or once you have used one you cant use another for that character?

One time effect of any sort per character for the entire bash.  If you use it in the first round, that's it baby.

No cohorts but animal companions/familiars are fine.

i already have a pretty damn good idea. and if you do the same type of character you have been Burt, you will loose again

So...these two characters can be played by different Players...interesting concept.

hhhmmmm....yes, perhaps the "Bashy McFighty" archetype isn't well suited to a bash.

Ok, now I have a viable question.  I know you said monster manual I-V are allowed as possible sources for characters.  Am I to assume that all of the templates/races listed within those books are acceptable as long as they meet the ECL requirements and posess no psionic abilities?

Oh yeah, that'd be awesome to have more peeps.  And since you don't leave until November, may actually be able to set it up.

I really don't like it.  As shoop continuously tells me, it's not the same game.  And that's true.  So, I hate 4.0.    I feel that most of the mechanics changes were unnecessary.  They're just different, not better.  They also added an 'end game' which I find abhorrent.  If you can't appreciate the game for what it is, which isn't winning or losing but living or dying then I frankly don't think you should play D&D.  And, I guess now they don't have to.  They'll play 4.0.

I would be more than happy to build one, but I lack the appropriate tools here at home.  I have been meaning to ask at work what the policies are about doing personal projects though.
