Well, technically its not an event yet, I was just trying to figure out if people would be interested in maybe putting together a day of paintball this spring/summer. We could do it on a Friday or Saturday, and then play D&D afterwards.
The best deal I could find in the area was Grizzly Paint Ball in Missoula and they have kits that they rent out which consist of: marker, CO2, mask and 500 paint balls for $25. They also send you out with extra cannisters of paintballs and CO2. If you use they they charge you for it, otherwise you just hand it back to them and they don't charge you.
We would still need to find someplace to play, and personally I would rather not play in some indoor arena because they can be pretty pricey, and its nowhere near as much fun as shooting up a piece of forest with paintballs.
Something else might be scenarios to try out. There is of course the classic "Kill 'em all" and "Capture the Flag" but do we have anything else we want to think about trying?
I was thinking the more the merrier, so maybe you any of you have some other friends interested in playing we could get a really big group going. We might even be able to get a group discount together if we get 10 or 15 people.

Lol, I'm fine with that. I'd go.

I'll have to dust my gear off and get a new mask, but I'll join the game.

I have been reading around on various paintball sites. Even if we couldn't find an open, available piece of wooded land to play on we could create our own terrain via large appliance boxes. The article I read suggested a simulated urban terrain, something like the tactical training grounds police and military use.

if all else fails we might be able to use one of my fields as a speedball course, have to check with the wife, and the neighbors though.

I just got an answer back from the Ranger station in Stevensville about where we could do this. They said any national forest land that doesn't have any development on it is fair game. What that means is that we can't play anywhere there is a campground, a trail head, a designated shooting area or the like.
That gives us a lot more freedom than I had thought. Does anyone have a map of national forest in the area, or know of any spots that fit that description?

I actually have memorized all the undeveloped forest land in the area.

What would people think of shooting for the 15th or 22nd of may for paintball?
Offline
Ungood.
I'll be working on my house the month of May.

I think that's too soon and too close to MisCon for us.
Offline
Hhhmm...well would we rather do it sooner, or later than that?
Offline
Later. June perhaps.
Offline
Very well then, lets set it for the 12th of June.

should work out for me.
